More than 40 clients and friends of Vineyard Open House Real Estate LLC attended the firm’s 3rd Annual Open House held last Friday, Sept. 25th at its Union Street offices in Vineyard Haven on the island of Martha's Vineyard, MA.
The event celebrated new listings coming on board, a successful rental season and the launch of the company’s new website, www.VineyardOpenHouse.com.
The evening was hosted by David Lott, owner of the business, Broker Mary Sullivan, both of

"Best Open House Ever"
"Tonight’s attendance was the best of all the events we’ve held so far,” said Lott. “We are so thankful for the support of our friends, clients and families. The wonderful turnout says it all as we strive to make a mark in what is a crowded real estate environment. We are happy to report that we are making good progress.”

About Vineyard Open House Real Estate
Vineyard Open House Real Estate is located in Vineyard Haven on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, MA. Its mission is to provide real estate services for real estate buyers, sellers and renters.
Vineyard Open House is an outgrowth of Lott’s nearly 30 years marketing resort real estate and master-planned golf and water view communities. In 1995 he founded the GolfCourseHome and WaterViewHome Networks, a 44-Member website network which features more than 100 resort communities in North America and the Caribbean.
Deep Island Roots – Red Stocking Fund
The Lott family has deep roots on Martha’s Vineyard, having been coming to the island since the 1890s. Lott’s grandfather, Harris Crist, retired to Vineyard Haven in 1936 from his position as co-owner of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle newspaper.
Crist had a 5-BR residence built at 93 Main St., Vineyard Haven, that overlooked the harbor and lived there until he passed in 1946. An avid golfer, Crist played nearly every day of the year the Oak Bluffs Country Club, a nine-hole layout which eventually became Farm Neck Golf Club.
His wife Addie Crist became an organist for Grace Church. Her greatest legacy is the Red Stocking Fund which she started in 1938 with a few friends who knitted six red Christmas stockings and filled them with gifts for needy island children. The Red Stocking Fund has since grown exponentially and last year distributed toys and clothing to more than 400 islanders and families.
