Reynolds Plantation, GA reports that the two-man team from the University of South Carolina—coach Steve Spurrier and celebrity Sterling Sharpe—had carded a 12-under-par 60 to earn a five-stroke victory in the 2008 Chick-fil-A Bowl Alma Mater tournament at Reynolds Plantation. Bright's Creek, NC is getting set to co-host the 2008 BMW Charity Pro-Am golf tournament on its Bright’s Creek Golf Club course May 15-18. Chapel Ridge, NC continues its swift sales pace with the much-anticipated release of a cluster of the final remaining homesites within the community’s Estates neighborhood. Released at special low prices, these Estates at Chapel Ridge homesites were greeted by some 225 attendees of a recent model home tour. The Landings on Skidaway Island, GA will hold its annual Kid's Fishing Derby for children ages three to 15 on Saturday, May 24. This free event, which includes an invited group of underprivileged children from the Salvation Army and Bethesda Boy's Home, runs from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lagoon #56 (one of the 150 lagoons at The Landings). The Bay Club, MA has organized a group of members to participate in the 2008 North American Bird Watching Open, an event sponsored by Audubon International in conjunction with the annual International Migratory Bird Day.
