Reynolds Plantation Creek Course selected for GCH Dream 18.
Reynolds Plantation, Greensboro, GA, recently announced that the No. 18 hole on its Creek Club Course has been selected for the 2010 GolfCourseHome Dream 18. The announcement was made via press release and posted on the Reynolds Plantation blog.
The Dream 18 is annual selection of great residential golf holes identified among the more than 150 communities featured on the GolfCourseHome Network, representing more than 300 golf courses and 5,800 golf holes.
The Dream 18 is the focus of the premiere issue of GolfCourseHome Magazine, which is now available for purchase online.
In making their selection of the Creek Course, the Editors said:
"The 18th at The Creek Club, a Jim Engh-designed thrill ride of a course, has to be played to be believed," began the Editors of the winning par-5 hole.
"You hit your drive from one of four promontory tee boxes that stairstep down toward the fairway, a scoops-and-ridges landing area where level lies are rare. The fairway is split longitudinally by three pot bunkers that encourage a fade shot to the larger section on the right. Up ahead is another interesting trio--three separate greens!
