Tuesday, July 20, 2010 - The Reserve at Lake Keowee and Clemson University’s head football coach Dabo Swinney and his staff recently hosted local members of the press for a day of fun and fellowship on The Reserve’s award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
The fourth annual Clemson Media Day at The Reserve began with a press conference on the putting green, followed by an 18-hole captain’s choice tournament and post-round cook-out, and provided a casual atmosphere and unimpeded time for Coach Swinney to discuss the Tigers’ upcoming season.
Located just a few miles from Clemson University’s campus, The Reserve has collaborated with Clemson on a multitude of programs, projects, and offerings on and off the course.
Highlights of the day included Coach Swinney’s giving Pigg a commemorative golf ball, emblazoned with the Clemson Tiger paw and marked with Swinney’s own professional mantra “All in”. Swinney then turned to the putting green, tapped in a five-footer, and chuckled, “I have to make the first putt, don’t I?”
The Reserve at Lake Keowee will be hosting its annual Clemson Tailgait Party on Saturday, October 23, before the Tigers play the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Reserve’s hospitality tent will be located just outside the West Endzone.
