Palmetto Bluff, SC reports the official opening of The Canoe Club at Palmetto Bluff. The new facility offers a casual member dining facility; docks with access to the May River and the Palmetto Bluff Water Trail; a main pool with lanes, a smaller recreational pool, a hot tub and a kiddie pool, and a fitness center with state-of-the-art cardiovascular and weight equipment. The Georgia Club, GA has set a date for the Callaway Golf clubfitting team to work the range at its Chancellors Course and help Georgia Club members find their ideal club specs. Huntsman Springs, ID recently announced that, in addition to commitments made to the Teton Valley’s ecosystem through the Teton Regional Land Trust Conservation Easement, the community is also working toward certification by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program. Black Bull Introduces High Tech Equipment, The Landings Expands, and More

Reynolds Plantation, GA: Recent PGA champ wins $75,000

Reynolds Plantation, GA was the setting for a back-nine charge that gave Scott Hebert of Traverse City, Michigan, a come-from-behind victory in the 41st PGA Professional National Championship. Played over a demanding setup on the Great Waters course at Reynolds, this championship for club pros nationwide paid Hebert first-place money of $75,000. Dataw Island, SC sent a contingent of member residents to attend rededication ceremonies for a recently discovered burial site containing the remains of at least 39 persons assumed to have been slaves on the island’s cotton and indigo plantations. The site, a small grove of live oak trees overlooking island marsh, was identified as a slave cemetery via ground penetration radar technology tests conducted by the Dataw Historic Foundation. Black Bull, MT has acquired and installed new, state-of-the-art equipment for golf club fitting and testing. The installation includes the Callaway OptiFit System and the TrackMan system for capturing ball launch and trajectory data. Using the Callaway OptiFit, Black Bull pros can now match individual club heads to individual shafts to optimize the golf club for the player. Huntsman Springs, ID reports that it recently took part in the groundbreaking ceremony for a new Teton County Courthouse building, construction of which is funded in part by the Huntsman group. David Huntsman, the community’s managing partner, expressed his gratitude for the work done to date and thanked county officials for allowing his family and the Huntsman Springs partnership to participate in this long-needed municipal project. The Landings on Skidaway Island, GA recently approved a $25 million, seven-year capital plan to renovate its Deer Creek and Oakridge golf courses (two of its six private courses) and to expand the club’s fitness center. Deer Creek’s original architect, Tom Fazio, is assisting with the renovation which will include rebuilding greens, tees, and bunkers, installing concrete art paths, improving drainage, a new irrigation system, and tree work. Madison Lakes Earns High Rankings, Admiral's Cove Offers New Youth Programs

Bay Club, MA: Grand Preview Weekend showcases new home

Madison Lakes, GA announced that its Longshadow Golf Course, which opened in 2007, had recently received two important distinctions. The course was ranked No. 4 in the “Best Courses You Can Play in Georgia” by Golfweek. Huntsman Springs, ID has partnered with Teton Valley High School and the Teton Valley Conservation District to install bat houses throughout its wetland areas. Jared Whitaker, an assistant superintendent, said the houses and a resident bat population will fit nicely with the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary program and provide natural mosquito control. Construction of Huntsman Springs Models on Track for Labor Day Finish

Huntsman Springs: Models to be ready by Labor Day.

Huntsman Springs, Idaho, reports that several Park Home
models and at least two Mountain View Lodge models are
on track for completion by Labor Day.

These dates could change based on the melt off of the
excellent snow accumulations this spring. Todd
Woolstenhulm,  Huntsman Springs Construction Manager,
says, "At least two of the Park Homes and two of the
Lodges are on a fast track for completion to give
prospective community residents a true feel for the
quality of appearance and construction of the homes
to be built at Huntsman Springs."

Located in southeastern Idaho less than an hour’s drive
from Jackson Hole, Huntsman Springs is a golf, hunting
and fishing community encompassing 1,400 acres, 70
percent of which will be set aside as open space.
