Reynolds Offers New Homesites, Belfair Welcomes New Sales Team Members

Hawthorn Woods Country Club, IL has formally thanked its golf members for their robust support of the club's new forecaddie program. The forecaddie initiative began in spring of this year and grew throughout the season. Reynolds Plantation, GA is reporting that, on the heels of its announcement of a sixth golf course at Reynolds Plantation (this one by noted architect Pete Dye), Reynolds Plantation Realty has conducted a successful release of new homesites, primarily around the member-only Creek Club course. The first is an Annual Non-Resident Trial Golf Membership running July 1 through December 31, 2008 and requiring a $5,000 refundable deposit. After completion of the membership approval process, full golf membership becomes available. The Club at Olde Stone Club, KY recently invested in a recycling program to not only assist in sustainability efforts, but to help cut the cost of trash disposal. The chefs planted an herb garden that is used in daily food preparation for members’ enjoyment. The garden is located near the fire pit outside the Orangery dining room. Mariner Sands, FL recently welcomed its new director of tennis, Mario Cobo. Originally from Ecuador, Cobo is a six-time national tennis champion and a member of the Ecuador National Davis Cup Team. He is a former instructor at the Nick Bolletieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Mario served for three years as a teaching pro at the Indianapolis Racquet Club in Indiana. Hawthorn Woods, IL reports that its members are now volunteering as marshals and scorers for the prestigious Illinois Open, to be played at Hawthorn Woods on the community’s Arnold Palmer Signature golf course July 28-30. Black Bull, MT is opening its new, Tom Weiskopf-designed private golf course this month. The practice facility, the largest in the Rocky Mountains, features synthetic grass for early-season swing training. Dominion Valley Country Club, VA will open ballfield complex

Dominion Valley Country Club, VA expects to announce a mid-fall date for the grand opening of a new ballfield complex at Sudley Park, a public amenity serving the Catharpin, Va., community. Sudley Park, a 102-acre project of Toll Brothers, developer of Dominion Valley C.C., is comprised of five ball fields, including dugouts, fences, walkways and landscaping. The Landings on Skidaway Island, GA has announced that it will be hosting a special Summer Coastal Fish-Fry Fundraiser for Clean Coast. The all-volunteer, non-profit Clean Coast organization is responsible for holding monthly marsh and beach clean-ups along the Georgia coast. The event will be held at the Landings Harbor Marina on July 12. Members of the public are invited for summertime fun, including music, food, games and a silent auction. Proceeds go to Clean Coast.
