Dataw Island, SC announced that it had begun a major renovation of the second green on its Tom Fazio-designed Cotton Dike course. The project will reposition the green to provide better sunlight, build it to USGA specifications to improve drainage and playability. The green will also increase in size and the number of usable pin locations. An $80,000 project, this renovation will take three weeks to begin grow-in and 75 days for new grass to be grown. El Dorado Ranch, Featuring Solar Power, Is Added to GreenGolfCommunities.net

El Dorado Ranch in San Felipe, Mexico, has been added to
GreenGolfCommunities.net and awarded Vanguard status.
More than 17,500 acres of El Dorado Ranch's 35,000 acre
development are designated "Green Space" to preserve
the integrity of the surrounding environment.

Among its many green accomplishments, El Dorado features
the largest solar community in North America.  With
approximately 3,000 solar lots, the development has
attracted the attention of many solar lobbyists,
environmentalists and solar engineers, becoming a model for
solar energy usage, according to the community developer.

    environmental authorities

    administration plans
  • Supervise and control all ecological aspects of El Dorado
    Ranch and San Felipe Beach Club
  • Legal representative of the environmental issues
    with environmental authorities
  • Study, investigation, taxonomy and life cycle of native
    species of wildlife
  • Keep ecology file updated and in order

Serena Marina, Mexico, Announces Phase II Ready for Purchases

Serena Marina & Golf, Mexico: Phase II now ready.

Serena Marina & Golf, Mazatlan, Mexico, announces that 
units in Phase II (Casona Venados) are now available for
purchase. The model unit is scheduled for completion
within the next four weeks. Phase I (Casona Pajaros
shown above) will be complete in July/August 2008.

Condominium residences at Serena Marina offer
