The Landings on Skidaway Island, GA is preparing for its annual Golfing for a Cure tournament. Home to one of the largest women’s golf organizations in the U.S., the community and its nearly 900 women golfers take center stage on March 31 to benefit Savannah’s own Anderson Cancer Institute at Memorial Health University Medical Center. Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club, FL is welcoming collegiate varsity tennis teams from the University of Rhode Island and Rutgers University for an exhibition match that all area tennis fans are invited to watch. Sandy Wood, a Harbour Ridge resident and also coach of the URI women’s tennis team, has organized the competition between the two Division I squads. Hampton Hall, SC recognizes a group of residents who participated in the Hilton Head Half Marathon on Saturday, February 7th. Two of the runners, Sheila Eaton and Stacey Leahy, were out on the roads for their first-ever half marathons. Ryan Peterson, at a time of just under 1:27, placed 15th overall. Additionally, Gerrit Albert of Hampton Hall ran the Tybee Half-Marathon on the same day in 1:31:07. Click here for more information about Hampton Hall!
