This weekend marks the 40th anniversary of the first Heritage Classic at Harbour Town, held at Sea Pines Plantation and first won in 1969 by Arnold Palmer. Today’s leaders, reports local realtor Beverly Serral, include Brian Gay, Todd Hamilton, and five-time Heritage winner, Davis Love III.
A $5 million purse--as well as a fabulously run tournament--keeps this PGA Tour event field filled each year with exciting players, such as Ernie Els, Boo Weekley (a two-time winner), Aaron Baddeley (past winner), Rory Sabbatini and more.
This four-bedroom home for sale sits right on the 16th tee.
Hilton Head Island is known to golfers and non-golfers as a great family vacation destination and wonderful place to live, says Serral. Beautiful Lowcountry scenery, a temperate, four-season climate, and lots of friendly people make Hilton Head Island, and Sea Pines Plantation, in particular, an ideal spot for full and part-time living.
Next year a new owner will enjoy the tournament to the fullest in the four-bedroom home, shown above dressed up for the Heritage, which is located right on the 16th tee--perfect for drop-in friends and tournament fans! (For more information about real estate at Sea Pine, click here.)
