Part of the allure: The acclaimed Cape Fear National® golf course.
The Wilmington, NC area community of Brunswick Forest continues to set real estate sales records in 2011, Hurricane Irene, a gyrating stock market and gloomy news about the national economy notwithstanding.
Home and homesite sales through the first eight months of 2011 totaled 117, representing $28.5 million in sales, eclipsing the 101 unit sales set in the first eight months of 2010. This year's total also represents the fastest sales pace since community doors first opened nearly five years ago.
Brunswick Forest Realty officials say that at the current pace, the community is on track to sell more than 165 homes and homesites, totaling more than $40 million for the 2011 year. Homesites at Brunswick Forest begin at $75,000; homes begin in the mid-$200,000s.
No Irene Fallout
Also good news is that Hurricane Irene spared the Wilmington, NC area getaways of Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Wrightsville Beach and Oak Island Beach, said Jerry Helms, Brunswick Forest director of sales and marketing.
Brunswick Forest is less than 20 minutes away from many of the popular beach areas and 10 minutes away from Historic Downtown Wilmington, NC.
